A Danny & Fox Easter at the Roald Dahl Museum & Story Centre
29 March - 14 April
The Roald Dahl Museum will be be celebrating the great outdoors this Easter with storytelling, crafts and walks inspired by Danny the Champion of the World and Fantastic Mr Fox.
Take a guided stroll around Great Missenden to see the sights that inspired the stories; take a peek at Danny’s woods and learn about Fantastic Mr Fox’s tunnels. Sculpt a Fantastic Feast out of clay or construct a caravan for Danny out of junk.
Listen to storytelling from the books and join in with all sorts of nature-related actions and noises. You can also pick up your free trail to explore the galleries or set out from the Museum with a free self-guided Tree Trek to explore the heart of Danny’s woods – go on get your walking boots on and explore!

Free with Museum admission, no need to book just listen out for announcements on the day.
Diddly Danny Pots
Tuesday 2 April and Friday 12 April
11am, 12pm, 2pm and 3pm
Discover how Danny’s dad managed to hide 120 pheasants then make a clay pot to hide some clay pheasants of your own. Wonderfully messy, but you don’t have to clean up after! Aprons will be provided. (Pheasants not included.)
For age 5 and over.

Fantastic Clay Feast
Wednesday 3 April and Thursday 11 April
11am, 12pm, 2pm and 3pm
Listen to some descriptions of Mr Fox’s fantastic Feast, before creating your own in clay. What will be on the menu? And who will you invite as your special guests?
Clay can be marvellously messy so make sure you wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. We’ll provide you with an apron to wear (and do all the cleaning up, you lucky lot!).

Construct a Caravan
Thursday 4 April, Friday 5 April, Tuesday 9 April and Wednesday 10 April
11am, 12pm, 2pm and 3pm
Get stuck in with loads of junk modelling materials to construct your own mini caravan and petrol pumps. Inspired by Danny the Champion of the World, you’ll discover how Roald Dahl found ideas for Danny’s home, then have a go at being as inventive as you like to build your own structures. For age
5 and over.
