As part of the King’s coronation ‘Big Help Out’ day on Monday 8th May, Chinnor & Princes Risborough Railway will be inviting our visitors to see parts of the railway rarely accessible by the general public. What goes on beyond the end of the platform at Risborough, or down the tracks past the crossing gates at Chinnor?? Come and find out and perhaps… even Help Out!

The idea of the ‘Big Help Out’ day is to “encourage people to volunteer and join the work being undertaken to support their local areas”. All the staff you see at our Railway are unpaid volunteers, perhaps you could be one too???

The guided tours are free to join and guides will be on hand at both Chinnor and Risborough platforms to show you around and answer your questions about becoming a volunteer.

Please note we are also running our heritage steam and diesel services that day, so for safety reasons tours will be arranged in between train movements.
