Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Christmas at the Roald Dahl Museum & Story Centre

Head through the chocolate factory gates to enjoy a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Christmas at the Roald Dahl Museum & Story Centre in Great Missenden.
Wonka Storytelling
Celebrate the release of the new Wonka film and listen to some tales from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
Head to the indoor Wondrous Woods room to listen to some of your favourite extracts from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, performed by our storytelling experts. Our Museum storytellers will bring the words to life and you can join in with noises and actions.
Storytelling of free with Museum entry. There’s no need to book a space, but you can book your Museum entry tickets in advance.
Charlie Themed Trail and Pop Up Factory
Pick up a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory-themed trail and explore the galleries. Hunt for clues around the Museum and learn some facts about the book.
You can also pop into the pop-up factory and try out Wonka-themed activities. Stack boxes and play with factory pipes. Design your own room for the the factory to display on our wall or play ‘Who? What?’ and make your own Charlie and the Chocolate Factory-inspired story ideas.
These activities will take place on Saturdays and Sundays during December, on the days the Roald Dahl Museum is open over Christmas:
- Thursday 21 to Saturday 23 December 10am to 4.30pm
- Wednesday 27 to Saturday 30 December 10am to 4.30pm
- Tuesday 2 to Sunday 7 January 10am to 4.30pm
Wonka Walks – Friday 29th Dec
Get out after Christmas and explore the village of Great Missenden. Led by an expert guide. Stretch your legs after Christmas and take a wonderful, Wonka-themed walk around the places that inspired so many of the stories.
You’ll listen to extracts from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory as you go. Your walk will be led by Museum Guide Michael, he’ll be wearing his best Wonka hat!
