Meet the wonderfully weird witches, enjoy the daily shows, blast a cob or twenty from the corn cannons and wow us with your freakiest fancy dress… The ghastlier, the better!
October Half Term Event
Zoom on the Broom! Broomstick Flying School
Senior Broomstick Instructors Batilda Bristles and Minerva Moon are on a flight of fancy – or at least a fancy flight! The witchy sisters are holding their world famous Broomstick Training: Zoom on the Broom! Not ‘Zoom’ as in a chat with the sisters about the theory of Broomstick flight whilst you’re still wearing trackies and fluffy slippers. In the open air and with a real broomstick! Well, it’s under cover, and novice witches and wizards will not be permitted real flying broomsticks (that’s far too dangerous!). They’ll be using practice ones which look suspiciously like garden canes. But as Batty & Minnie (as they’re known) say, “Practice makes… distinctly average.” Don’t tell anyone, but Batilda crash landed in the pig pen last week… hopefully their new recruits will prove to be more talented flyers!
Fancy Dress Competition
Crack out your very best fancy dress and rock up at Spookyard in style… Then join our magic duo, Witch Hazel and Wizard Wibble, at 12.30 sharp to see who’s the spookiest, who’s the cutest, who’s the smartest and who’s the fanciest! Expect lots of laughs, plenty of silliness and a whole heap of fun.
Monster Mash-up
Wizard Wibble loves to boogie! In fact, he loves it so much that before everyone goes home he insists on playing all his favourite songs and dancing! Of course, he wants everyone to join in. All the boys and girls, all the Mums and Dads, the Aunties and Uncles and even all the Grandparents! But of course, he insists that Witch Hazel joins in too. She’s less keen at first but when he plays the Cha Cha Slide she can’t resist!
Corn Cannons
Sharp-eyed Halloween fans can tackle the Corn Cannon and find out just how high they can blast those beautifully yellow cobs, aiming at a range of targets. Honestly, you won’t know how great it feels to fire sweetcorn into the sky until you try it. Let’s just say the competition is fierce…
Woodand Trail
As well as a series of spooky shows to enjoy each day, visitors can follow mysterious clues on a spooky adventure around the farm woods while spotting its friendly animals along the way. It’s hauntingly cute!
Maize Maze
Embark on your mission through our live Maize maze and see how long it takes you to find your way out of our labyrinthine trails. Left turn? Right? Who knows! Getting lost is all part of the fun.
Your Spookyard ticket includes entry to Countryside Adventure so you can get your fill of the farm.
