Sunflower Field at Rectory Farm
5 August, 2023 - 3 September, 2023
FreeCould sunflowers be the happiest flowers? Big, bright and wonderful for pollinators, the sight of a whole field of sunflowers just makes you smile.
The beautiful sunflower fields at Rectory Farm will be open for PYO from Saturday 5th August – no booking required! Bring your friends and family, take a wander through the towering flowers, and gather some of these cheerful blooms to brighten up your home or to treat someone special with. PYO sunflowers are priced at £1 a stem.
Rectory Farm PYO has a whole big field and they’re gorgeous. It’s free to visit and talk a sunflower field walk. If you want to buy some, just bring your secateurs with you and it’s £1 for a stem or you can borrow a pair from the farm shop for a £2 returnable deposit.
Elsewhere on the farm they have strawberries, raspberries, blackcurrants, redcurrants and courgettes all ready to pick as well as a field full of colourful gladioli.
After a little trip to enjoy the flowers, head to the cafe to grab an ice cream. They really are delicious luxury ice creams, so much better than the Mr Whippy we always seem to have when we’re out.
There little play park is ideal for younger kids and free to use.
Remember there’s no need to book but please do check their social media before you head over in case they are running low on a particular crop. Dogs on leads are welcome everywhere except where crops grow at ground level.
