Unlock your Inner Astronaut with Kate Pankhurst

17 March @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

£8

Unlock your inner astronaut and learn all about space in this fun-packed event with author and illustrator, Kate Pankhurst – the bestselling creator of the Fantastically Great Women series. Introduced by Science Oxford’s Andrew Kensley, in partnership with Oxford Literary Festival.

From discovering what shooting stars are really made of and learning how to complete a spacewalk, to rocket-building lessons and space shuttle trips, Pankhurst’s event will involve some dressing up, lots of props and even a draw-along. Mixing science, technology, engineering, and maths topics with a sweet story of figuring out your place in the world, Pankhurst’s new series is an accessible, fun and friendly introduction to space for the next generation of space-travellers, whoever they may be.

Kate Pankhurst is a distant relative of the suffragette Emmeline Pankhurst. She is author of Fantastically Great Women Who Changed the WorldFantastically Great Women: Scientists and their Stories and others in the Fantastically Great Women series.
