Where to Visit Santa in Oxfordshire

Christmas is a magical time for kids and meeting Father Christmas is a highlight of the year for little ones. There are lots of Christmas experiences, Santa Grottos and special events on all around Oxfordshire. Prices and activities vary greatly so I’ve rounded up a good selection of what’s on and where to visit Santa in Oxfordshire in 2025. SPOTLIGHT EXPERIENCE – CHRISTMAS FAIRYTALE AT FAIRYTALE FARM
Step into a world of festive enchantment as Fairytale Farm is transformed into a glittering wonderland. With twinkling lights, heartwarming stories, and magical encounters around every corner.

This year’s Christmas Fairytale is inspired by the timeless charm of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. Stroll through the cobbled streets of Victorian London, watch the story of Ebenezer Scrooge unfold, and discover new additions such as Tom’s Toy Shop – where every child receives a special Christmas gift. Meet Father Christmas in his grotto and enjoy the Christmas illuminations.
Where to Visit Santa in Oxfordshire 2025

Children and families will love visiting Santa in his workshop downstairs in Cogges Manor House this December. Take a peek into Santa’s world before meeting the man himself and receiving a gift. Afterwards, there will be refreshments and festive cheer in the cosy Manor House kitchen. Lots more Christmas at Cogges fun to explore too.
‘Meet Santa’ will be available every weekend in December 10am-5pm plus Monday 22nd and Tuesday 23rd December. There is limited availability.

Father Christmas is visiting Hogshaw Farm again this year! He’ll be flying in to spend time with you and your family, hear your Christmas wishes and check on his reserve team of reindeer.
Christmas Experience at Roves Farm

On the Roves Farm Christmas Experience, you can stay all day and enjoy lots of festive activities on the farm. You are welcome to take your own photo’s throughout the Grotto journey too, no ‘official photos only’ here! The Santa’s Grotto is a 1 to 1 visit.
Christmas at Hocus Pocus Play

Join Hocus Pocus Play in Fairford for a choice of not one but THREE enchanting Christmas experiences, all with a foodie twist. Each experience includes plenty of time in their magical play village, interaction with various Christmas characters, a Christmas trail and a gift for all children over 6 months. Earlybird pricing ends October 31st.
Santa’s Christmas Party at Kenton Theatre (Henley) 30th November

Santa’s Christmas Party is a 45 minute, interactive family show, particularly suitable for 2-8 year olds, after which the adventure continues as each child gets the chance to receive a special present from Father Christmas in a popular meet, greet and treat!
Christmas Bear Workshop at Oxford Castle & Prison – meet Father Christmas himself, and enjoy a magical bear-making workshop. (Oxford)
Roves Farm – enter a winter woodland and meet Father Christmas in his grotto. (Sevenhampton)
Meet Father Christmas at East Challow Village Hall Craft Market 15th Nov – Join Father Christmas and his helpers for a magical story, the chance to get a photo and a small gift before the big day.
Millets Farm – Santa’s Grotto at Millets Farm is one of the major visit Santa experiences in the county, this event books up quickly especially for weekends close to Christmas. (Frilford near Abingdon)
Cholsey & Wallingford Railway Santa Express – Take a train trip with Santa at the Cholsey & Wallingford Railway this Christmas. (Wallingford)
Oxford Bus Museum – Father Christmas day with heritage bus rides will take place on Sunday 14th & 21st December 2025 (Long Hanborough)
Steam into Christmas at Didcot Railway Centre – Your visit will culminate with a visit to Santa in the giant toy workshop and your entry ticket will also include unlimited train rides.
Dorchester Abbey Santa’s Grotto – Taking place at the Dorchester Abbey Christmas market on 29th Nov, it’s pay what you can afford on the day.
Sutton Courtenay Environmental Education Centre – Santa Claus is coming to the nature reserve! (Sutton Courtney, not too far from Didcot) 6th Dec
The Old Farm Shop Santa grotto includes a present, sweet and hot chocolate running on 13th, 14th, 20th and 21st December (14th is a SEN only session) £10 a child – £20 a family
Ridgeway Adventures – Come and meet Santa Claus at his Christmas grotto at Ridgeway Adventures! Sundays 7th & 14th December 2025 from 10am-6pm.
