Farmhouse Kitchen – Worsley

After a fun-filled day at the Sea Life Centre in Manchester, we were looking for somewhere to eat, whilst we love popping over to the nearby Trafford Centre when it’s a Saturday or a Sunday and the weather isn’t great it can get so busy!

So we made our way over to the Farmhouse Kitchen Worsley, just a short 15-minute drive from Trafford Palazzo and it turned out to be the perfect choice for our family of five.

We were a bit worried about keeping the kids entertained while we ate, but Farmhouse Kitchen made it easy. We were seated near the play area, which kept the little ones (three in total, including my niece) busy and happy.

The play area is a great touch for families- it had a small section like soft play for babies and then a great farmhouse/tractor style play area complete with slide. There were arcades too but we managed to avoid them with our girls, they are young enough to believe us when we tell them “they aren’t working”.. though not sure how long that will last for us!

The Farmhouse Kitchen is like a big family pub, it specializes in it’s carvery which is incredible but also has a large extensive menu for both adults and children and it’s really reasonably priced. We had a burger and a mixed grill and it was incredible! One of the highlights for us were the refillable soft drinks—such a great touch and it definitely makes the meal more affordable. It’s these small details that make a big difference.

Now, let’s talk about my favourite part of this place, it’s the dessert. For the girls, it was all about the ice cream brownie sundaes. The portions were huge, the girls thought they were amazing- in hindsight they were so big they could have shared. Ice cream is included in the children’s meal so our youngest loved this! And as for us, we couldn’t resist the incredible cake—huge portions that left us speechless! So much so, we took the leftover Mars Attack cake home with us. I mean, who wouldn’t want to enjoy that a second time?

If you’re looking for a relaxed and delicious spot after a trip to Trafford Palazzo or Sea Life or fancy a meal out one afternoon the Farmhouse Kitchen Worsley is an absolute must-visit. With fantastic food, refillable drinks, and a great play area for the kids, it’s the perfect family-friendly destination.
