Oxford Ice Rink is a great destination for a rainy day. I visited with my pre-schooler during the week in term time and we practically had the whole place to ourselves. At weekends and school holidays, the ice rink is much busier but there are lots of fun activities scheduled. The rink is easy walking distance from Oxford train station or there is a pay and display car park at the ice rink.
Oxford Ice Rink Activities
Check out the runs parent and toddler sessions running from 10.00-11.00 on a Monday and Friday. In these sessions, part of the rink is sectioned off and there are fun toys and games to play on the ice. This session is an amazing bargain at £1!
In general skate sessions you can also hire a ‘penguin’ or ‘snowman’ skate aid (£4 for 30 min hire).
For older children, there are weekly discos as well as school holiday activities.
Oxford Ice Rink session times and prices
Check out the Oxford ice rink website for the latest session times and prices. Costs range between £4.20 and £8.00 (including skate hire) and family tickets are available.
Cafe
There is a cafe upstairs serving hot drinks and snacks. There are also several vending machines by the side of the rink.
