Yesterday marked our first ever visit to Playtrain, an indoor soft play and children’s role play activity village in High Wycombe. They’ve won best indoor play in the Red Kite Days Buckinghamshire awards for the last couple of years and we can absolutely see what the fuss is all about!!
Playtrain is a family owned activity centre for children aged 8 and under and there was so much to do and take in. Playtrain has so much to offer.
Soft play (including an area for aged 3 and under)
- Ball pits
- Ride ons
- Slides
- Interactive games area
- Football area
- Building blocks
- Sensory room (also part of the role play village and is a VIP lounge nightclub!)
Not only that but there’s also a wonderful role play activity village and there’s so much!
- A construction yard
- Hairdressers
- Campfire and bbq area
- Police station
- Stables (which were my personal favourite and Parker spent half the session riding round the road on a horse)
- a road that flows all the way around and much much more!
The children were running from one thing to another and everything they found excited them.
The level or decoration and attention to detail here is epic. Even the ceiling fans are made to look like helicopter propellers. All of us were scanning the room taking everything in for the whole session. The boys toilets blew the kids minds, it was decorated so well! And the ladies was so pretty and had a cot to pop Tilly to play whilst I used to facilities! I love little touches like that!
It was like a magical wonderland for the kids that enabled their imagination to run wild and we were generally really impressed.
There is also a lovely cafe with a nice range of hot and cold food and drinks and plenty of seating. Their milkshakes were incredible – just ask Parker!
The staff couldn’t do enough to make you feel comfortable and have what you needed, from the warm welcome at the start to ending with baby shark and bubbles to say goodbye they were really fantastic. Randomly during the session bubbles floated around above the baby area and Matilda absolutely loved it.
There is also a little gift shop on your way out that had a wonderful range of bits to look at!
All 3 of my children could have spent hours here, and Matt and I had a lot of fun too! It was such a fabulous morning out and we can’t wait to go back!
