Rectory Farm is more than just a PYO (pick your own). With some extra facilities for kids on site, you can easily extend your visit to create a fun few hours out of the house.
Rectory Farm PYO
Rectory Farm has 45 acres of fields full of fruit and vegetables to pick yourself. But don’t worry if you have little legs with you that tire easily. The most popular strawberries and raspberries are close to the car park and you can get stuck in quickly. Punnets are set out to pick up when you arrive and then you can get picking. I had a lovely morning with my son, selecting the absolute best and juicy strawberries. It’s great value and they taste a world apart from the ones you buy in the supermarket. If you’d prefer not to pick, then the farm shop has plenty available.
Earlier in the season you can pick strawberries undercover which also makes it a great little outing for a rainy day and later in the season the fields are bursting with juicy fruit.

Rectory Farm Play
Once you’ve done your picking, why not have a little extra fun playing outside. New from April 2022 is a lovely addition of a play park. Who doesn’t love a play park with a cafe!
There’s a wooden climbing frame with scramble nets and slide, balancing posts, wooden wendy play house with tunnel, nest swing and the shaded sandpit is still there.
Rectory Farm Eating & Drinking
Surrounding the kids play area are lots of picnic tables (both covered and uncovered) so you can gorge yourself on the fruit you’ve just picked (once you’ve paid for it of course). Rectory Farm is a small family run business so they ask that you use their café if you want refreshments and a bite to eat rather than brining a picnic. The kids play areas are all free so a day out still works out at good value. We enjoyed a sausage roll and was tempted into buying a big wedge of moist and colourful angel cake.
